Q: Do I need to have fishing experience?
A: No, Our professional crew are with you every step of the way, and are happy to guide even the most novice of fisherman. However we also cater to the experienced fisher.
Q: Do you have a toilet onboard?
A: Yes!!!
Q: Do we get to keep what we catch?
A: Yes, you will take home your fish. Our Crew will happily clean the fish, and put them on ice. We will also fillet some of the larger fish.
Q: Where do you leave from?
A: We leave from the Sheraton Jetty Noosa Heads. Which is just behind Hastings Street. Which is one of the most beautiful parts of Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
Q: Is there Shade or Shelter on the boat?
A: Laguna Cat has a rear canopy spanning the whole back deck, which protects from rain, and the sun. We also have suncream on board should you require it.
Q: How many people do you take?
A: We are surveyed for ten passengers and two crew, however, we only ever take nine people. This ensures a comfortable day out on the water, and a personable experience.
Q: What will our destination be?
A: Our destination depends on the duration of the trip, the weather, and where the fish have been biting. During Mackerel season, we can fish as close in a Laguna Bay (Just over the Bar). We can also fish as far out as the Barwon Banks, the Hards, or Double Island Point. We are lucky in Noosa in that we do not have to travel too far to get our fish. Most days our travel time is not much over about forty minutes. The closer reefs vary in depth from 25 to 60 meters.
Q: Are gift Certificates available?
A: We have gift certificates available. They are valid for six months, which leaves plenty of time to organise your perfect day. Please see our online gift certificate form under the enquiries heading. Fishing Charter Gift Certificates are perfect for Christmas, Birthday, Mothers or Fathers Day presents. Or whatever the occasion.
Q: Do you have to have a group?
A: We can take groups of up to nine, but we can also match single people into other groups if you are traveling alone, or in small numbers.
Q: What do we need to bring?
A: We have pretty much everything you need. We have all the gear, soft drinks, morning tea or lunch (Depending on the trip), and suncream. We would recommend bringing a hat, and a camera to photograph your catch, or any whales we may see. You are welcome to bring your own fishing gear if you have it, and our crew are more than happy to help you out with any rigs you may need.
