“TROUTY”
Andrew caught a fishy, a giant coral trout
Andrew started winding, but his line kept going out
He dreamed of catching “Trouty”, that mighty fish so grand,
But his mono 50 lb, stretched like a rubber band.
So whilst our hero Andrew, was winding for his life,
“Trouty” thought he’d go back home to see his kids and wife
“Trouty” headed for his cave, it wasn’t Andrews’ day
While the mono line kept stretching, so “Trouty” got away.
When you’re using mono, no matter how you wind
The fishy goes the other way, he really doesn’t mind,
He heads into the coral, he thanks you for the snack,
The hooks become his jewelry and you’ll never get ‘em back.
[Unless you’re using braid] - I like 80 pound
With my drag locked to the max, and that’s the way I’ve found,
That I always catch the monsters, I drag them from the deep,
While Andrew stares in awe - and then begins to weep!
